expanding individual rows in custom matrix visual

I need to implement expanding of individual rows with +/- as is done in the stock matrix.  I am currently referring to the source code for a hierarchy slicer at https://github.com/liprec/PowerBI-cust...

Adding some notes for anyone else looking at this.

The hierarchy slicer uses the table dataview to get all of the data and then manages the hierachy itself, so it does not get subtotal lines.

The matrix dataview only sends data for the level that you are on, so AFAIK it has no way to find out whether a node has children.

    Hello John,

     

    Unfortunately, we don't have an appropriate example for your case.

    However, if you fail to implement Hierarchy Slicer approach for a matrix dataset, you, theoretically can build a matrix from a table applying algorithm to the table dataset.

    Also, you could consider to use Drill-Down approach for your visual instead.
