Forum Discussion
Cannot select to follow a thread
The new Microsoft Fabric Community UI is missing a way to follow or subscribe to a thread from the initial question. The three‑dot menu only appears on replies, which makes it impossible to track discussions unless you manually reply or bookmark them.
A follow/subscribe option is important not only for staying updated on issues but also for personal learning — many threads contain valuable explanations, best practices, and deep technical insights that users want to revisit as they evolve.
Please restore or add a “Follow thread” control on the root post so users can properly monitor topics they care about.

Hello ronrsnfld,
Thank you for reaching out. If you go into a thread, there's a bell in the top right-hand corner of the thread. If you click the bell, you will get a notification that you are following the thread.
Please let me know if you need further assistance.
Best,
Natalie H.

OK, I was confused. If one is not in a thread, that same bell indicates it will produce notifications for any activity on the board. But if one has selected a thread, then the same bell indicates it will produce notifications just for that discussion. Maybe a different icon or location for the two different functions?
