visual query
Hello Ashwinc91191,
Thanks for your question, Visual Query in Microsoft Fabric is a no-code experience to query and analyze data within a Microsoft Fabric Warehouse, SQL analytics endpoint, or Mirrored Database. It uses a drag-and-drop interface (based on the Power Query diagram view) to perform data transformations without writing T-SQL.
It could be used by business users, who are not familiar with Code experiences, here are some use cases :
Use Cases
-
Data Merging: Joining a sales table (
FactSale) with a geography table (DimCity) using a common key to analyze revenue by region without writingJOINstatements. -
No-Code Reporting: An analyst can transform data visually and then use the "Visualize results" button to immediately build a Power BI report.
-
Rapid Prototyping: Quickly filtering and aggregating large datasets to verify data quality before committing to a formal SQL view.
-
Cross-Departmental Analysis: Merging marketing data from one warehouse with sales data from another to find correlations between campaigns and conversions.
