Time zone for Fabric capacity

Am I correct in saying that all Fabric capacities are set to UTC time and this is a setting that cannot be changed?

  • Hello ebjim

You are correct at this time Fabric does operate in a single timezone . The offset does provide you with some help , but I understand for DST related calculation we will have implement something custom .

We request you to please log the ask here https://ideas.fabric.microsoft.com/ .
    Thanks

    Hi ebjim ,

    Thanks for using Fabric Community.

We have a query from internal team -

In Fabric metrics app report you can configure an offset at configuration time or later on as a dataset parameter:

What exactly is your query? Can you please share fre more details of your query?

Hi, where exactly can you configure this UTC offset? We are also using Fabric capcity metrics app, but the timezone has been incorrect for us from the start.

  • I use DateTime.LocalNow() though I am 5 hours behind UTC. Usually, the time difference doesn't matter, but I expect that to change. I also need to account for daylight savings. While there are programmatic ways to handle the time difference, I had to be sure that Fabric presently operates on a single timezone.
