Select multiple stages in a pipeline to activate/deactivate

It would be really nice to be able to click-and-drag to select a set of steps in a pipeline, so that I can enable/disable them all together. When debugging a 15-step pipeline, it gets really tedious having to click on each one to enable or disable it separately if I'm rerunning only a small part of the pipeline

  • Agree, but as an alternative; you can usejson editor to do mass updates/deactivates.

  • I support this idea.

For large pipelines, being able to select multiple activities and enable or disable them in a single action would significantly improve the debugging experience.

It would save time, reduce repetitive manual work, and make testing specific sections of a pipeline much more efficient.

A multi-select capability (using Ctrl/Shift or click-and-drag) with a bulk Enable/Disable option would be a valuable productivity enhancement for Microsoft Fabric Pipelines.

  • I agree with this.

One extra thing that would make this even more useful is if the selection was dependency-aware, not only manual selection.

    For example:

    • Select all upstream activities
    • Select all downstream activities
    • Deactivate everything except the selected path

That would help a lot when debugging only one part of a larger pipeline.

Another useful option would be a temporary “debug selected section” mode, so activities can be skipped only for the current test run without permanently changing the saved pipeline state.

  • Hi philsolimine,

Thank you for sharing your suggestions. This is a very helpful usability enhancement, especially when you're debugging longer pipelines with many activities. Thing is, Fabric doesn't support multi-select enable/disable for pipeline activities. Since this is a product enhancement request, I'd recommend posting it in the Microsoft Fabric Ideas, where the product team reviews customer feedback and prioritizes future improvements based on community interest. If you do submit it there, sharing the link here would also allow other community members to vote for it, so that it may get noticed quickly.

    Thank you.
