One Lake Catalog data loading issue

Hello everyone, while setting connection in copy activity pipeline I am not able to view the one lake catalog contents to use the data from lakehouse. It is showing that the session has expired, please try again. For this I signed out from account, I logged in again and even deleted browser cache but still the error is same. Even used incognito and different browser but still the error is same.

On the contrary on fabric homepage I can see the contents in One lake catalog. Do I have to do something here, kindly help.

  • Hi VaishnaviC

Thank you for the screenshots and details.
Since the OneLake catalog works from the Fabric portal but shows "The session might have been expired" when opened from the Copy activity, you can bypass the catalog and select the Lakehouse directly.

    1. Select the Copy activity.
    2. Under Source or Destination, open the Connection dropdown.
    3. Select None.
    4. The Item field will become available.
    5. Select the required Lakehouse from the Item field.

This should allow you to proceed without using the Browse all -> OneLake catalog option that is currently showing the session-expired message.

  • Based on the screenshot, the issue is most likely with the authentication/session used by the Copy Activity’s “Get data” experience, not your Lakehouse itself.

    Try this first
    1. Close the Get data window.
    2. Go to Manage connections and gateways in Fabric.
    3. Check the connection used by the Copy Activity.
    4. Re-authenticate / recreate the connection using the same Fabric account that has access to the Lakehouse.
    5. Open the Copy Activity again and select the Lakehouse/OneLake Catalog.

Since you can see the Lakehouse in OneLake Catalog normally, your workspace/Lakehouse access is likely fine. The problem is specifically occurring when the pipeline connection tries to load the catalog.

If recreating the connection doesn't work: check that the connection is created in the same Fabric workspace/tenant and that your account has the required permissions on the Lakehouse.
