Git Integration Error - Can't Add your Account
I've encountered a strange when attempting to add GitHub repo to my Fabric workspace.
error msg: "can't add your account:
There's an issue with the credentials you provided. Check that your account details are correct and that you have the necessary permissions, then try again."
I have the following permissions:
1. Can create the repo in GitHub
2. Can generate token (both classic and fine-grained)
3. Workspace admin
4. Admin portal -> tenant settings -> Git integrations enabled
Hello libpekin
If your GitHub org is SSO enforced, you may need to authorise the token for your Organisation.
Hi libpekin,
Thank you deborshi_nag, for your insights.
This issue may happen if there’s a mismatch with authentication or permissions. Make sure you have at least Read permission for your Git repository, and your authentication (PAT/MFA/SSO) matches the requirements set by your Git provider. Check that any organization-level policies, like conditional access or SSO authorization, are met. Once you’ve verified these settings, reconnect the workspace with a valid token.

deborshi_nag GitHub org is SSO enforced. That was the root cause. Resolved, thanks!
