Fabric Free Trail - eRROR
Hi All,
I signed for free Fabric Trail and i get this error message when i tried to create a Lakehouse under Training workspace.
Couldn't find any solutions any help would be much appreciated.
Upgrade to a free Microsoft Fabric trial
To create Lakehouse and other Fabric items, this workspace, TRAINING, needs to be assigned to a Fabric capacity. To try Microsoft Fabric features, select Upgrade to assign this workspace to your free Fabric trial capacity.
Failed to prepare a free trial capacity for this workspace
Hi tayloramy,
Your Power BI trial has started
You have access to all the Power BI features for the next 60 days.
We cannot assign you a free Microsoft Fabric trial capacity due to an error.
--- Also in Admin Portal Capacity setting I see nothing displayed in Trail..
The issue is resolved --
When i setup for the first time i used my mac to setup the free trail account.
The account was setup and i was able to create a workspace and when i treid to create a lakehouse i was getting the above error.
The issue was resolved by using the free trail account fabric login on my windows laptop resolved the issue.
so the resolution is use windows machine..
Many thanks for your support.

Hi subramanian,
Can you share a screenshot of the license screen in the workspace settings?
You likely need to assign the workspace to a fabric capacity - either by starting a trial or by purchasing a capacity. If you found this helpful, consider giving some Kudos. If I answered your question or solved your problem, mark this post as the solution.

It looks like there's some error provisioning your trial capacity. I'd recommend opening a ticket to microsoft.
The way this should work is you should be able to select Trial in the license configuration on a workspace, if you have a trial enabled.

Hello subramanian
I hope Your fabric trail not enabled. If it is enabled, it will show like below.
Make sure to check with your Fabric admin to enable the Users can create Fabric items
in Fabric admin portal settings as shown in belowBcz, as per your screenshot it's saying that Premium per user not Fabric Trail. So, Pls check with your fabric admin.
Pls let me know if it helps you.
