Fabric Data Science Tutorial - Sample Data not accessible
- 1 year ago
Hi there v-ssriganesh,
The issue has not been resolved. It has been acknowledged by the Product Group. They have confirmed that blob access is closed due to new security requirements. PG is actively working to come up with an alternative approach.
They have asked for some more time to share an update.

Hello all,
The support engineer was able to direct me to tutorials that have valid blob links to access the sample datasets.
Within Fabric, choose a workload (in this case I chose Data Science). Then "Select" Explore a Sample.
Then choose the sample notebook of interest:
And run the code.
What is different is the remote_url. "https://synapseaisolutionsa.z13.web.core.windows.net/data/bankcustomerchurn"
This URL is publicly available and produces the correct rows of data within the churn.csv file.
Microsoft will need to update the links in their Learn.com tutorials + GitHub Sample Notebooks.
suparnababu8 v-ssriganesh Thank you for your time on this.

I replicted your scenario. It's loading csv file, but when accessing the csv file it's throwing an error.like you mentioned. Please have a look on below image
Requesting CST team to assist on this. Let's wait for CST team to respond on this.

Hello there! Thank you very much for taking the time to reply.
I did have a lakehouse attached and I did run the code. The code runs. Yes it creates a Churn.csv file for me as well. But did you look inside the Churn.csv file? (EDIT: ah I see that you have, thanks for checking). It doesn't have data. It has that error message inside the Churn file.
Also, even if I wanted to get the file manually where would I get it? It isn't reachable.

suparnababu8 who is the CST team? I'm not aware of the acronym.
Also, all the files from all of these tutorials are not reachable. They all have the same issue/error. I believe that the blob that was storing these sample files has been made private.- suparnababu81 year agoSuper User
CST Stands for Community Support Team. Hope today they will see this chat and they will respond. Thanks for asking!
