Fabric available platforms
We are new to the Fabric platform; we have been successfully creating Lakehouse, SQL Databases, working with SQL Endpoints, creating Pipelines, Dataflows, Scripts... We initially started a trial but did end up purchasing an F4 capacity.
My question is whe I click on the lower left of the portal where you see the Icon of Fabric, the only two options were Fabric and Power BI. Do we have to activate Data Factory and Data Engineering? When I go to workloads I see the available platforms, however it each one of the tiles just takes me to documentation or trainings on using it and (and not platform/UI related).
I don't know if this is related - our initial trial says its going to expire (even though it never does since we purchased the F4. Our workspaces are created under the F4 identity.

No, the options used to be there but now we only have Fabric or Power BI. The items you need are all in 'Fabric'. In your workspace, select 'new item' to find everything you need.

No, the options used to be there but now we only have Fabric or Power BI. The items you need are all in 'Fabric'. In your workspace, select 'new item' to find everything you need.

Microsoft Fabric is a unified SaaS platform.
The left menu only shows:
Fabric (full experience with all workloads)
Power BI (legacy entry point)
You will never see “Data Factory”, “Data Engineering” or “Data Science” as separate apps or portals.
Instead, Fabric workloads are accessed on the workspace at the top, when you want to create a new items.
Once your workspace is on Fabric capacity (F4), every workload is automatically enabled.

Also, it’s possible to see trial messaging even after purchasing capacity if the tenant Fabric trial is still active in parallel with your paid capacity or some workspaces are still using trial/Shared capacity while others use your F4.
In Admin portal, Capacities, you can verify if the F4 capacity exists and is Active, or in each workspace, confirm Capacity is F4 but not “Shared”. If the trial says it will “expire,” that’s okay, workspaces on F4 keep working, only trial scoped experiences on shared capacity stop when the trial ends.
