Fabric API - List Items - Duplicated items

Hello,

One of my colleagues spotted that some apps (type = App) are duplicated in the Fabric REST API endpoint - List Items output. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/fabric/admin/items/list-items

They have the same name / capacity / workspace, but typically have a different id and lastUpdatedDate.

It's also worth noting that the duplicates don't show using other endpoints (e.g. Apps - Get Apps as Admin) and they only seem to come in pairs (so ruling out multiple audiences as the cause).

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/admin/apps-get-apps-as-admin

Has anyone else come across this before? Is there a reliable way to dedup the list?

Many thanks

    Hi Acroustique,

We are following up once again regarding your query. Could you please confirm whether you have submitted ideas in feedback channel? If we don’t hear back, we’ll go ahead and close this thread.
Should you need further assistance in the future, we encourage you to reach out via the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum and create a new thread. We’ll be happy to help.

Thank you for your understanding and participation.

  • We got the same issue with different IDs for the same object name for type = App (in the same workspace). However, it appears that audiences on (power bi) Apps becomes a row. You can check this if you have different audiences for an app, but i believe there is a default also created for some Apps, perhaps those without audiences? These rows should probably get another [Type]. v-prasare
