Cannot see workspaces in OneLake Explorer
I downloaded OneLake Explorer and it's empty.
Currently we have multiple workspaces created in Power BI and I see those on the Fabric homepage using an internet browser. All we have are reports and semantic models from Power BI. Is it normal for OneLake Explorer to not show items created in Power BI?
I created a new workspace, created a lakehouse inside of it, and uploaded a csv file. This showed up alright.
Am I able to see the other workspaces? Or do I need to create a file and put them (the semantic models) in either a lakehouse or warehouse first?
Hello ednalyn
- There are some limitations and considerations. Have a look on below snapshot.
-
- There might be syncing issues with OneLake Explorer, which could explain why some workspaces are not visible. This might be the problem you're experiencing.
- OneLake Explorer mainly works with data stored in lakehouses and warehouses. Things like reports and data models from Power BI may not show up directly in OneLake Explorer.
- To see your Power BI items, you may need to set up a lakehouse or warehouse and move your data models there.
