Cannot create Dataverse - Microsoft Fabric connection

This has been resolved. Turned out that it was something on the Microsoft side that they had to "unblock". Here's the email I've received from them:
Thank you! Checked: Dataverse region is Australia and Fabric is Australia East
As the regions across dataverse and Premium workspace are different, you are unable to create the fabric link

The thing is that the name of regions in Fabric and Dataverse are different. Fabric ones are aligned with Azure (e.g. Australia East, Australia Southeast, etc.), while Dataverse regions are country based (like Australia, United States). It is impossible to choose more precise datacenter in Dataverse.

The error message in the thread is different from mine. Mine does not refer to the locations at all, it complains about lack of licenses (which I have)
