branching out issues
I am having an office 365 activity. but my colleagues when they branch out to another workspace the link is not recognised. What is the way around it. Tried using the From (send as) option too. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I am not talking about DevOps at all, just talking about the Outlook connection.
If you have a service user with a mailbox, and that user has access to whatever address you are sending emails from, you can use that user's credentials when making the outlook connection, and then safely share that connection with all developers.

The best way is to share the connection with them. the Office 365 Email activity now requires a connection to be created. Once you create that connection, you can see it in "manage connections and gateways"
From here you can share the connection with others.
THough if this is linked to your personal credentials, then I recommend each developer make their own connection and re-map them when they branch out so that you are not giving everyone access to your email.

Many thanks and it worked. We had a glitch to begin with and I thought was to do with Dev-ops. The issue was we had to sign in to the service account to run the pipelines. I did not work when we signed into personal accounts and used the service email. Thanks again for your help.

One correction to my post, it seems you cannot share outlook connections right now. THat is blocked for security reasons. So the only solution is for each developer to have their own connection and to re-map them.

Many thanks for the pointer. Would that mean that everytime someone branches out and if there are 10 invoked pipelines with each having an oulook activity, would that entail mapping it all- the 10 outlook activities on branching out ?
If each user is using their own connections - yes.
If you have one shared connection linked to a service account that all developers have access to, then it should just work without changes.

We do have a service account and we are in essence using that. But still having some difficulties.
What we are doing is we are logging into service account and in the activity using the service account email. But as the service account is not linked to Dev ops. Should the power BI user be classed as stakeholder when connecting to Dev -ops ?
