Automated Refresh not Working
Hello Community.
I'm working on a notebook to automate the process of cleaning and structuring data for a monthly PowerBI report.
Im currently testing out the automated refresh, but it is not responsive. When i schedule the notebook (be clicking ... and then 'Schedule') it does not show up in scheduled refreshes in the refresh summary in admin portal. Likewise, when i monitor the workspace with the notebook when the refresh is scheduled nothing happens. The column displaying 'Next Refresh' is blank. Yet in the notebooks schedule options, it dispolays the 'Time until next refresh'.
No history of refresh in admin portal either.
Can anyone help?
Best regards
Hello StudentAssist
Please check that, incorrect data source credentials can prevent the refresh from being scheduled or executed. Make sure that the credentials for all data sources are correctly set and up-to-date. Make sure that gateway is online and configured correctly.

Hi StudentAssist,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Community. Thank you suparnababu8, for your input on this issue.
I understand that you are encountering difficulties with scheduling a notebook refresh. It seems that the refresh is not showing up in the Refresh Summary, and the execution is not triggering as anticipated.
Below are some troubleshooting steps to help resolve this issue.
- Please double-check the time zone settings in your notebook’s schedule to ensure they align with the workspace settings. Confirm that the recurrence pattern matches your intended schedule. If necessary, delete and recreate the schedule, ensuring the start time is in the future and properly saved.
- Ensure your user account has at least Contributor, Member, or Admin roles in the Fabric workspace where the notebook is located. Additionally, if the notebook is accessing external data sources (Dataflows, One Lake, SQL databases), verify that you have the necessary permissions for those data sources.
- If your notebook depends on external data sources, please ensure that the authentication credentials are valid and current. For connections to an on-premises data source, confirm that the gateway connection is active and functioning properly.
