Assistance Needed : Cannot establish connection to GCS
Even with giving correct credentials to HMAC credentials, the connection is failing. And the service account have required permissions given to that. It has storage.ObjectAdmin permission assigned to it. When I see root folder after conencting, it says that wasn't connected.
Hi Harsha_k_111 ,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community Forum.
Please refer below troubleshooting Steps to fix the issue.
1. Verify HMAC Credentials, the Access ID and Secret Key are correct and active. check the HMAC key is associated with the correct service account.
2. You mentioned the service account has storage.ObjectAdmin, this is fine. Also check it has storage.buckets.list if you are trying to list buckets or root folders.
3. Some systems require a Connection name to be set before validating credentials. Try filling this field.
4. If you are using a data gateway, please check it's properly configured and reachable. If not using a gateway, uncheck the option related to on-premises/VNet gateways.
5. Set the Privacy Level to “Organizational” or “Public” depending on your use case. “None” option might be restrict access in some environments.
6. If you are trying to access a specific bucket, include the full path in the URL. check the below sample URL
https://storage.googleapis.com/my-bucket-name.
