Analytics on Microsoft Azure specialization for Microsoft Fabric
I am evaluating the requirements for the "Analytics on Microsoft Azure specialization".
One of the requirements is to perform the "AzureWell Architected Review of Workloads". However, when we start the assessment process, there is no option for Microsoft Fabric.
Also, if I proceed with an option selected, for example "Azure Data Lake Storage" or "Azure Synapse Analytics", the questionnaire is very focused on Azure PaaS services, and not on Microsoft Fabric workloads.
How can I proceed in this case?

Hi everyone.
For now this is not required to "Analytics on Microsoft Azure for Microsoft Fabric" program. I sent a message to Microsoft and I got the answer below:
- For the Analytics and Data Warehouse Migration specialization, there are two sections in which there are special considerations for partners applying via Microsoft Fabric:
- Mod A section 3.1 ALZ (Special Evidence in audit checklist) Note: For Analytics on Azure specialization deployments and Data Warehouse Migration to Azure specialization deployments only: If no Identity or Networking components are deployed in the Azure Landing Zone, a documented focus on Resource organization attributes is sufficient to pass this control. (details included in audit checklist)
- Mod B section 2.2 WAR Assessment as Fabric is not yet included in the Well Architected Review, Fabric partners will receive a manual pass (details not included in audit checklist - when you are ready to schedule the audit, please let us know and we will follow up with the Specializations and audit teams for manual pass for this section)
Thanks a lot for your help.

Those offerings are adjacent, but not directly related to Fabric. They share some general concepts.

Hi Anonymous,Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.
We appreciate your inquiry and recommend following the step-by-step approach outlined below, which may help in resolving the issue effectively:
- Microsoft Fabric is a unified platform that integrates various Azure services. It is advisable to select a service within the Well-Architected Review that aligns closely with the specific Fabric workload.
- If your primary focus is on data pipelines and transformations, Azure Data Factory would be the appropriate choice.
- For scenarios involving data storage, Azure Data Lake Storage may be the most suitable option.
- If you require analytics or warehousing capabilities, Azure Synapse Analytics would be the closest match.
- Selecting the most relevant service will enable us to conduct an assessment tailored to its best practices.
- During the assessment, it is essential to document how Microsoft Fabric integrates with and enhances the selected Azure service. Clearly explain how Fabric components are utilised in conjunction with the chosen Azure service. Additionally, highlight any capabilities or efficiencies gained by incorporating Fabric into your architecture. This documentation will provide context for reviewers and ensure they comprehend the role of Fabric in your solution.
If you find our response helpful, we kindly request you to mark it as the accepted solution and provide kudos. This will assist other community members facing similar queries.
Thank you.
