AI Skills

The MS documentation on Fabric features says that AI Skills are supported in P SKUs.  However, when we try to create one in a P SKU it prompts us to upgrade the workspace to a Fabric capacity.  The AI Skills documentation says that a paid F64 or higher Fabric capacity is required.

Does anyone know if it is possible to actually utilize AI Skills in a P SKU?

Thanks for the response but your answer glosses over my question issue.  As you state:

“The Fabric features documentation states that AI Skills are supported in P SKUs. However, the AI Skills documentation clarifies that a paid F64 or higher Fabric capacity is required.”

These two statements by Microsoft are in conflict.  I am trying to understand which one is incorrect.

Becasue from Monday we are trying to use Data Agent formerly known as Ai Skills,

We have also activate the F64 SKU capacity but then also not able to create that activity as it is saying Unsupported SKU Capacity

    Hi andrewsommer,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.

After reviewing the details you provided, I have identified few workarounds that may help resolve the issue. Please follow these steps:

The Fabric features documentation states that AI Skills are supported in P SKUs. However, the AI Skills documentation clarifies that a paid F64 or higher Fabric capacity is required.

Ensure your workspace is assigned to a paid F64 or higher Fabric capacity, as this is explicitly stated as a prerequisite for creating and utilizing AI Skills .

Please verify that all required tenant settings are activated, including the AI Skill and Copilot switches, as well as cross-geo processing and storage settings if applicable.

        Hi andrewsommer,
I apologize for any inconvenience caused. After reviewing the details you provided, I have outlined the following steps. Please follow the steps below:

Both statements are correct within their respective contexts. If you are utilizing an F SKU, you must have at least an F64 capacity. If using a P SKU, AI Skills are supported, but it is recommended to verify any specific capacity considerations for your deployment.

As per the official Microsoft Document, AI Skills are supported in P SKUs without specifying a minimum capacity level. For F SKUs, AI Skills require an F64 or higher capacity.

On the other hand, the Create an AI skill (preview) documentation specifies that a paid F64 or higher Fabric capacity is required for AI Skills.
