Hi,

I reduced the retention period last week already using the above commandos from 30 days to 5 days, but the impact cannot be seen in the storage size.

The query shows 5 days & (date - 5 days) as output for the warehouse where I did the change. It's also not possible to delete files in the storage explorer. Currently looking into it with MS Support.

Hi JVDA98​,

Thank you for the update. Since the retention period is already set to 5 days and the cutoff date is also showing correctly, but the storage has not reduced even after a week, I think continuing with Microsoft Support is the right approach here.

The files under OneLake shouldn't be deleted manually, as they are managed by the fabric warehouse. Support should be able to investigate why the expected cleanup has not reduced the storage yet.
