Git Sync broken for Warehouses in Fabric

Hi team,

is anyone in europe region facing issues with syncing warehouses in  the same workspace. I am getting connstant errors like this :

"We weren't able to update this item because One of its dependencies can't be found. This might be caused by circular dependencies between items." when trying to sync the workspace with Git branch.

I have warehouse A pulling for my staging lakehouse L , and then warehouse B pulling from warehouse A. I have removed dependencies from views and instead using stored procs to move data from L and A and then from A to B. Everything was fine until last week, now git sync just does not work and comes back with above error message .

also during comparison, I see the proj file in the warehouses have an extra added attribute for "suppresscirculardependencyerror" which is set to false.

Can someone from microsoft, provide an update?

what have you released in last 1-2 weeks for warehosue circular dependency checks?

  • Fabric still does not provide dependency-aware deployment ordering for Warehouse and Lakehouse items during Git sync or deployment. In practice, that means cross-item dependencies can fail even when the repo content is valid, because dependent objects may be processed before their upstream objects are available.

Microsoft Learn also documents that a Git update can fail when:

    • dependent items were changed or deleted
    • circular dependencies were created
    • an item was renamed
    • item data is invalid [learn.microsoft.com]

There is also guidance specifically for dependency errors in Git integration that says unsupported or broken dependencies can block branch switching and updates, and that the recommended remediation is to identify the dependency and manually remove or fix it.

    About the suppressCircularDependencyError attribute

I could not find official Microsoft documentation explaining that specific warehouse project attribute. Based on what is publicly available, it appears in warehouse project metadata during comparison, but there is no published Learn doc that describes it as a supported user-controlled override. That means I would treat it as internal or implementation metadata, not a reliable switch you can depend on operationally
