Connnect to semantic model

Hi there, I would like know if it's possible to connect from SQL analytics endpoint to semantic model (Power BI) or another tool to access a sematic model?

    Hi Peter_23 ,

     

    You can connect to Power BI's semantic model through the SQL Analytics Endpoint. Power BI supports using the XMLA endpoint so that you can access the semantic model from other tools.

     

    Here are some simple steps:

     

    First, you need a Power BI Pro license to connect to the semantic model.

     

    Second, you need to connect using the XMLA endpoint in a Power BI Premium or Premium Per User workspace.

     

    Then, connect using a client application that supports the XMLA protocol, such as SQL Server Management Studio.

     

    In this way, you can access and manage Power BI's semantic model through the SQL Analytics Endpoint.
