URGENT: Fabric Measure Table DELETED by mistake - restore?

Hi,

In Fabric, I created a table which I had to contain all my measures, I right clicked the table "measures" and added a new measure named "X", I assumed I was in the measure's settings, but somehow I was in the table settings, so it got renamed. Then, I regretted measure "X" and wanted to delete it, so I searched in the search field= "X", and deleted it, not noting it was the measure table.

Is there a a way to restore or did I F up? ....

  • Thanks for responding. Unfortunately there was no way saving the deleted content.

My organization is currently working on making the version history function available, not sure if it would have saved my work but I guess so.

As a new user to Fabric, I am suprised by the risk of how easily unintended deletes can be executed by mistake.

On critical items such as measure tables and in the data model view, it should not be possible; or like in this case, at least be able to add some kind of protection to the selected measure table under the table properties.

Hope to see changes on this matter in the future.

    Hi Mjolnir ,

Thanks for using Fabric Community. Currently there isn't a built-in way to directly restore a table in Fabric.
Probably you cant refer this doc - Restore in-place of a warehouse from a restore point - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn
