Synapse Link upgrade to spark pool 3.5 - not available
We are currently using Synapse Link in PowerApps for dataverse and D365 FnO tables.
At the moment we use Spark Pool 3.4 and we are trying to upgrade to Spark Pool 3.5.
According to the documentation, after creating a new spark pool, the option to perform an in-place upgrade should become available.
We created a new spark pool with the same permissions as the existing one, but the option to upgrade to version 3.5 does not appear in PowerApps.
Any insights would be appreciated.
Hi ivdm ,
Apache Spark 3.5 is not yet generally available in the Power Apps Portal for Synapse Link for Dataverse. While Spark 3.5 pools can be created in Azure Synapse, the Power Platform backend may not yet recognize newer Spark runtimes like 3.5 due to staged rollout.
Apache Spark 3.4 will reach end of support in March 2026, but there is no official GA date announced for Spark 3.5 support within Power Apps

So stay with Apache Spark 3.4 beyond the support window if we are using the Power Apps Portal for Synapse Link?
We just upgraded to Apache Spark 3.5 but now we are seeing roughly 30% of our tables not syncing.
