Pipeline Schedule - Advance Options - Execute at these times
- 5 months ago
Hi roshanirchavan,
Thanks for reaching fabric community, will happy to assist.
In Fabric Data Factory pipelines, the schedule UI is currently more limited than Azure Data Factory’s trigger UI. The "Execute at these times" advanced recurrence option from ADF is not available in the Fabric pipeline schedule experience.
Fabric Supports only as of now:
- Fixed schedule: run at fixed clock times, but not with the same advanced multi-hour/multi-minute grid as ADF.
- Interval-based schedule: run every X minutes/hours between a start and end date, but it does not provide the same "selected hours of day" control.
Workarounds You can Try:
- Create multiple fixed schedules
Add separate schedules for each required run time, for example 08:00, 08:30, 09:00, etc. This is manageable if the number of runs is small. - Use an hourly schedule with execution guard
Schedule the pipeline hourly, then add logic at the start of the pipeline to check the current time. If it is outside business hours, exit without running the expensive activities. - Trigger the Fabric pipeline externally
Use Azure Automation like Logic Apps, Azure Functions, or ADF to call the Fabric REST API only at the exact times you want. - Keep orchestration in ADF If you allowed
If you need advanced trigger recurrence exactly like the screenshot, ADF still provides more mature trigger scheduling options. You can use ADF as the scheduler and call Fabric pipeline/notebook items from there.
Hope this helps, Please consider as an accepted solution if helps or give some kudos.
