    Thank you for your detail explanation.

     

    We regret any inconvenience this may cause, If you've completed the given steps and the shortcuts.metadata.json file still does not appear in your Git repository, the issue may be related to a specific OneLake or Fabric configuration.

    I suggest you to kindly submit a support ticket for assistance.

Update!

We noticed that the functionality became available one day later. You need to commit the Lakehouse in your workspace; however, you’ll already see that a change has occurred in the Lakehouse. After that, save the new metadata file.

    Could you elaborate on this one?

    So I already have a lakehouse, and it's tracked in git.

    I added a schema shortcut to a SharePoint folder with an Excel file, and nothing shows up under pending changes.
