OneLake Explorer 1.0.14 does not update Excels
- 10 months ago
You should wait for the private preview of OneLake Explorer. First thing is General availability and then You can install the OneLake Explorer. ( ~ 1 yr timeframe)
There are so many bugs in the Linux System as well. ( fs ls command in OneLake explorer and Delta Lake System)
Thank you for contacting the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.
Regarding the issue with Excel files not syncing properly in OneLake Explorer version 1.0.14, the official release notes mention that this update included improvements for .tmp files created during Excel edits to address sync conflicts from network interruptions. However, it seems that Excel files still sometimes fail to sync to OneLake in certain environments, while other formats like TXT and CSV work as expected. This issue appears to persist despite the recent changes.
As BhaveshPatel noted, OneLake Explorer is still in preview, so some inconsistencies are to be expected until general availability. In the meantime, using version 1.0.13 for Excel workflows may be a helpful temporary workaround.
I hope this information is helpful. . If you have any further questions, please let us know. we can assist you further.
