Notebooks - On-Prem SQL server to Lakehouse
Hi Jothy ,
Currently, Fabric Notebook do not support direct connections to local databases through the Power BI Gateway. Fabric Spark does not integrate with the Power BI Gateway.
There are two alternatives:
First, you can create shortcut to the external data in Fabric Lakehouse. This way, you can query the data using notebooks.

Second, you can use data pipeline to copy data to the lakehouse instead of using notebook.

Advocate IIThe shortcut only works for filestores, you can't create a shortcut to a database.
