import ADF pipeline into fabric

I do not see an option in Fabric to import one of my existing ADF pipelines.

I know the option is available.

Any suggestions?

thank you

    Hi arkiboys2

    At the moment there isn't a direct method to import/migrate an existing ADF pipeline into Fabric. You will need to create it in Fabric from scratch. The following documentation introduces what are supported for the migration: Migrate to Data Factory - Microsoft Fabric

    Currently Fabric supports triggering ADF pipelines. In addition to the method spencer_sa has suggested (Invoke pipeline activity - Microsoft Fabric), the second method is to use the preview Azure Data Factory” inside of your Fabric Data Factory workspace. It allows you to mount existing ADFs to current Fabric workspace, then you can edit or run any pipelines here. Bring Azure Data Factory to Fabric - Microsoft Fabric

    Upgrading ADF and Synapse pipelines into Fabric is on the roadmap but with no tentative dates. We hope it would be available soon.

    Best Regards,
    Jing

    Are you looking to import the ADF pipeline (so migrating the whole ADF pipeline into Fabric) or Invoke an ADF pipeline (so running it on the ADF compute) from a Fabric pipeline?

    I'm not sure the former is completely possible - there are some features of ADF that haven't made it across to Fabric pipelines yet.
    If you're referring to the latter, then it's part of the 'Invoke Pipeline (Preview)' - you can change the type of pipeline to "Azure Data Factory"

    We’ve seen similar challenges when moving Synapse/ADF pipelines to Fabric. We’re using a Gen-AI–driven approach to automate key migration steps and speed up the overall transition.
