fabric lake house set up

Hi worldchanger
The other option you can do if you do not want to wait for the fabric trial in 60 days. It's just been up an F2 capacity that you can use with pay as you go. So you only pay for when you are using it for your learning and then pausing it, which means you will not pay anything whilst it is off.
Hi worldchanger ,
Yes, you can use Gmail, but not directly โ Fabric only accepts "work/school" type accounts (Entra ID), so your Gmail is just the starting point to create that account. You have two options:
Option 1: Create a personal Azure account by signing up on the Azure portal. You'll need to provide your credit card details for verification, but you won't be charged unless you use paid services.
Once your Azure account is set up, create a new user in your Azure tenant with an onmicrosoft.com domain (e.g., [email protected]).
Use this newly created email to sign up for the Microsoft Fabric trial at app.fabric.microsoft.com.
Option 2:Sign up for the Microsoft 365 Developer Program, which gives you a free Microsoft 365 E5 subscription.
This subscription includes a professional email address (e.g., [email protected]) that you can use to access Microsoft Fabric and other Microsoft services.
