Edit or update existing shortcut
Hi all,
At the moment we have the following problem:
We had to move or Azure Data Lakes to a different Subscribtion. Unfortunatelly, this breaks the shortcut we made from within Fabric Lakehouse.
I tried to edit the connection, but also this is not possible.
Any help is welcome 🙂

It would be very nice if it was possible to edit the target of an existing shortcut.
I can imagine such a case like paulv mentions could require quite much manual work if this shortcut table is being used further downstream.
Being able to edit the shortcut target seems like it could be very valuable in such cases.

Hi paulv
Thanks for using Microsoft Fabric Community.
Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse does not currently support direct inter-subscription migration. This process would render existing shortcuts inoperable due to broken connection references. Unfortunately, modifying these connection details within shortcuts is not yet a supported functionality. As a result, migrating the lakehouse itself or altering shortcut connections are not viable options at this time.
I hope this information helps. Please do let us know if you have any further queries.
Thank you.

Updating shortcuts is mentioned as a future feature in this blog:
https://blog.fabric.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/interacting-with-onelake-using-rest-apis/
However I can't find it in the Fabric release plan.
