Duplicated Rows In Tables Built By Notebook

I was seeing incorrect numbers after joining two tables together. I have isolated the issue as shown in the following example:   I take the existing delta table named Rainbow_Accounting_Adjustments...

I am also having this issue a year later. SQL count(*) shows the correct number of rows, and the notebook shows many duplications.

Does this happen with fabric warehouses too? Or is it only lakehouses because the underlying storage format is different (delta/parquet for lakehouses vs traditional sql for warehouses)?
