Disconnection issues in MS Teams and Outlook activities
Hello all,
An issue has arise the last 2 days with MS Fabric pipelines containing MS teams/Outlook activities. These activities are constantly disconnecting, despite manually connecting them to the microsoft account, hence the pipelines containing them cannot be executed.
Deactivating these activities is not fully solving the issue, since the pipelines containing them can be solely executed but not invoked through other pipelines.
Is there anyone else facing this problem?
Thanks in advance
Hello,
Thank you for all the replies.
The issue was resolved without me applying any other fixes.

Hi c_ntourma
Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community Forum. It looks like you’re experiencing some disconnection issues with Microsoft Fabric pipelines that involve MS Teams and Outlook activities. These problems are often related to authentication settings or connectivity changes.
Here are a few steps you can try:
- Ensure the Teams/Outlook connection is re-authenticated with valid credentials. Double-check that no tokens have expired. If you’re using modern authentication, confirm that your Office apps are updated.
- Deleting and re-adding the Teams/Outlook connection in Fabric can sometimes clear out stale sessions.
- Try signing in from a different browser session after clearing cache and cookies to rule out local session issues.
- Test with another user account and verify that workspace roles and pipeline permissions are correctly assigned.
- Confirm that proxy/firewall settings aren’t blocking MS Teams/Outlook traffic.
- Review pipeline run logs for more detail on where the disconnect is happening.
Hope this helps !!

Issue: MS Teams/Outlook activities in Fabric pipelines keep disconnecting, breaking pipeline execution and invocation.
✅ Quick Fixes:
- Re-authenticate in a fresh browser session.
- Clear cached credentials (Windows Credential Manager).
- Re-add activities instead of copying.
- Grant admin consent in Azure for Outlook/Teams connectors.
Workaround: Deactivate affected activities and run pipelines standalone, or split logic to avoid invocation dependencies. - c_ntourmaRegular Visitor
Hello,
Thanks for your replies.

No tokens are expired and the credentials are valid.
Try signing in from a different browser session after clearing cache and cookies to rule out local session issues.
I tried connecting from Incognito Window and from Microsoft Edge but the issue still exists
Test with another user account and verify that workspace roles and pipeline permissions are correctly assigned.
All user accounts have the same problem
Deleting and re-adding the Teams/Outlook connection in Fabric can sometimes clear out stale sessions.
The issue exists in the new activities as well.
Is there anyone else with the same issue?
Thank you

Hi c_ntourma
Are your pipelines actually failing? If so, could you please share the exact error message (or a screenshot) you see when the connection fails?
Also, how often does this issue occur, Are the pipelines running on a schedule or triggered manually?- v-aatheeque

Hi c_ntourma
Just checking in were you able to gather the error details or frequency info about the pipeline failures we discussed earlier? Has there been any progress on this issue?
