Dataflow parameter for destination table
jigneshpatel
Currently, Dataflow Gen2 in Microsoft Fabric does not support parameterization for destination table names. This limitation means that you cannot dynamically assign destination table names using parameters within a dataflow. Instead, you must manually configure the destination table through the user interface during setup. While pipelines in Microsoft Fabric allow parameterization for various activities, such as passing values to notebooks or other pipeline tasks, they cannot pass parameters directly to Dataflow Gen2 for dynamic configuration of destinations.
If dynamic table assignment is critical, consider using other tools or approaches within the Microsoft ecosystem, such as Azure Data Factory's Mapping Data Flows, which supports parameterization for similar use cases

Hi jigneshpatel ,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric community.
- As you’ve mentioned, dataflow destinations need to be set up via the wizard interface since they don’t support parameters. Ensure each destination is correctly configured.
- Power Automate may also be used to automate. This can then be used to run flows to update your dataflows, manage your parameters and handle various destinations, thereby reducing manual effort.
- While adding dataflows to a pipeline, you might not get direct support of parameters. Sometimes, you need to handle the parameter settings outside the pipeline interface, probably pre-configuring them before running the pipeline.
- In case there's no direct script support for parameterized destinations, you could consider the advanced configurations through Power BI REST API.
Did I answer your question, please mark it as the Accepted Solution, it will help others. If you need more details, feel free to reach out. Let me know if you need any further modifications.
