Can we use Event stream instead of spark.read.stream function

Hi All,   We are planning to load streaming  data into tables.Can we use event stream(from Fabric) instead of using spark.read.stream function. is tehre any difference between those ?

    Hi Raghumajji2108 ,

     

    What is the source data, latency expectations? Purely it depends on use-case as we can choose component for specific requirement.

    Spark - Streaming: Programmaticaly stream the data. I would prefer for medium to large size data.

    Event Stream : It provides no-code/ low-code experience to stream data into eventhouse or lakehouse tables. You can leverage in-built transformations or sql code.

    Eventhouse :  Streaming Ingestion - programmatically stream your events to enthouse without using eventstream. I prefer for smaller size of data

     

    Depending on your use case we have opt the right components.
